The Great Destroyer

When I saw that this book was about Murdoch I got excited. I thought he was an interesting guy in the previous books of this series. Oh how this one proved me wrong. The amount of stupid things a guy can do is fully met by the great Murdoch. Talk shit first use brain later… not a good plan big guy. Danii was nice and sweet… maybe a bit too sweet if you ask me. Being horny for such a long time probably messed her up in the head a bit so she ended up either too forgiving or an idiot. I know I’m harsh but taking this amount of shit from a Casanova-gone-wrong and being so easy to forgive him is not cool. Jádian the hottie-prince-of-winterland was an interesting character but I didn’t have such a good look at him. I’m hoping we’ll have a story for him. A proper one. Why am I saying this? Deep Kiss of Winter was too short for my taste; especially since lately I’m into a no-short-story phase. 56% of the book was this story, and the rest was Gena Showalter’s Alien Huntress. I didn’t read that since it is the sixth book or something; I said I’ll wait till I start the series and get an idea of what it’s about.The conclusion? Loved the concept of the book and that’s kind of it for the loving part. Not much action going on, mediocre characters and a meh ending. This is my least favorite story in the series and I’m really disappointed. No great quotes for me to add; mostly what I have is related to Nix. The only thing that marked me was the scene where they put ice to good use… I won’t look at ice with the same eyes ever again. Same goes for wax for those who know what I’m talking about.
